Which laptop? Help! please?

When I got my Toshiba Satelite years ago I bought it because Consumer Reports said it had the lowest repair rate. It has been a good laptop. My niece just returned a laptop to Best Buy, I think it was a Dell. She's going with Toshiba instead.
