Data protection and harment?

A former partner has accused me of harment via texts and calls, The police called and I denied it as it was not a mobile number I had ever owned. I gave the police a response and said that my former partner was untrustworthy etc. I am now concerned about repercussions if the police should say what I said about him. What exactly will the police report back to him? Also I was given a verbal caution even tho I said it wasnt me!
