Does amoxicillin cure syphilis?

I was prescribed 500 mg of amoxicillin. I have to take it 3 times a day, will this cure syphilis? it wasn't prescribed for that reason im just curious, cause i had unprotected and am really paranoid into thinking that i have syphilis.
