How can I stop my cat from peeing on everything?

MY suggestions as a Vet istant would be to make an appointment at your vet-- I have a feeling that with his age his urinary tract may have acalated crystals-- kinda like a human having kidney stones... If he checks out at the vet, with a thourough urine test, there are other things you can try-- put a tiny, tiny bit of pineapple juice in his water bowl- it doesn't hurt him at all, or the kitten, and might make going easier for him to handle. Another suggestion is an over the counter NO-Go spray. It puts a smell on the item or area sprayed that makes the cat or dog not want to go anywhere near it. One more useful tip-- stop at the local pet store- there are other things they can suggest that I probably forgot to mention..
