I have a problem that I need advice on regarding cleaning.?

I want to clean my apartment (my floors and woodwork and stuff, etc.), but, I need someone to say something (perhaps tough love -- be gentle, though) for the mindset that I am in now. I want to use my mops that I bought to clean but I am afraid to use them because they are all clean and I don't want to dirty them. I keep telling myself that that's what these things are for -- to clean. I'm still having a hard time with this. Can anyone break me of this thinking. I have all the tools and mops to clean but just need to be able to use them. I know that they'll get dirty when I use them and they are all hanging nice and neat and clean on hooks in my closets.
