Ignore the legal aspect, what do you THINK?

The whole system of lobbying needs to be reformed, if not completely done away with. It skews the priorities of our representatives. Lobbyists and interest groups usually have economic/political interests that are not compatible with the interests of the public at large. There is something called "The Revolving Door," whereby lobbyists become politicians, politicians retire and become lobbyists.... it's really insidious, and it happens on both sides of the aisle.
