Who knows about cults, Mahi Kari?

does anyone know anything about this group. My friend is part of it and when I looked it up on the net, everything was negative, I found some articles that say that they are considered terroists in Europe, and were responsible for several deaths in Australia. Any ligit info or personal experience would be great. Thanks
