Why does the Photoshop CS4 PSD icon not show up?

I got Adobe Design Premium CS4 last Christmas and it installed perfectly fine to my 4 month old computer. All the programs doent files had an Icon to it except Photoshop's PSD's. I emailed Adobe with the problem and they said to reinstall it so I did that, nothing. Then I reinstalled the Creative Suite and still nothing. It really isn't a bother because I can just open the files directly from Bridge or drago the files onto the Photoshop shortcut. The only other version of Photoshop I was running is Photoshop Elements 5. It's just a quicker method to be able to double click directly on the PSD rather than my other methods. I right clicked and set the program that would open the PSD's to Photoshop but still nothing. I know this is a silly problem but it is kind of bugging me lol.
